RaeAnn Tucker-Marshall, Public Information Director with the Henry and Stark County Health Departments shines a special black light on the hands of Ava LaFollette and Marissa Stevens of Mrs. Kirkham's Kindergarten class at Belle Alexander. The light shows areas where students could improve on their handwashing. The Health Department has been visiting area schools to instruct local children on the importance of handwashing and other ways they can stay healthy and cold and flu free. HEALTH DEPARTMENT STAFF OFFERS AREA GROUPS A VARIETY OF PRESENTATIONS
The staff of the Henry and Stark County Health Departments reminds area residents planning a program for a local club or organization; that the Department staff is available to speak on a variety of health topics, and the services offered to area residents through their offices.
RaeAnn Tucker-Marshall, Health Department Director of Public Information, notes that "presentations on Health Department programs and awareness, home health and homemaker services, breast cancer awareness, advanced directives, nutrition, women's health, heart health, influenzae and its prevention, cholesterol and blood pressure control; and prostate and cervical cancers, just to name a few, are offered free-of-charge."
Tucker-Marshall adds, "Presentations can be tailor-made to meet any group's specific needs. Many presentations include informative handouts and entertaining videos. All information can be altered to the age and interests of the audience."
